About Divinity Dethroned

Greetings, and welcome to David Safar's home on the web.

I'm a life-long technologist presently located in Sunnyvale, California. This web site is my permanently-in-progress presence online. It is a home for some of my older ramblings, and a source of basic information on who I am and what I'm about. It is designed primarily to suit my needs, though if others find some value in it as well, so much the better. It will always be changing as I use it as a forum for my ranting, a creative outlet, a testing ground for new web design ideas and newly-acquired skills, and whatever else comes to mind.

I used to maintain a web log here, but no longer. For the old entries, see the Thoughts section of this site. For newer entries, check out my LiveJournal.

What May or May Not Be New
01/21/08: The site died in a hosting accident last month, but I've resurrected it now and tinkered with the Ramblings section a little.
06/26/06: More general updates.
05/29/05: General updates, filesystem restructuring, etc.
12/13/03: Added most of the Thoughts section. Personal Philosophy still needs an upload.
06/17/03: Added a title image and some torches for a touch of color.
06/09/03: I re-chose backgrounds and colors. Yay.
05/31/03: Updated and uploaded my resume.
05/29/03: Work continues. I chose backgrounds and colors, finished the index, uploaded it to the new domain (yay!), then did the same for the Profile page. :)
05/22/03: I have returned. I'm now working on making the site not suck.
08/16/02: Improved the layout slightly. Added another rant declaring my intent to bloggify this site.

Special Thanks To:
o Katie Horn, for inadvertantly reminding me that it's fun to maintain a web page.
o Aaron, for enduring the creative process of many ramblings-in-progress and managing to stay awake. ;)
o Yasamine, for encouraging me to add to my inane rantings.
o My friend Nancy, for the Profile photo.
o My friend and cousin Jewell for the former Profile photos.
o Ben Boyle for creating and freely distributing the JavaScript Expanding Menu script used in the Thoughts section.
